I was almost completely satisfied by Recipe for Satisfaction. When it starts, Sterling is seasick on a yacht and runs into Toronto's most eligible, bad boy, bachelor. She had hopes of picking up a man that night, but not Jack, and certainly not while puking her guts out over the rail. But lucky for her, Jack sees something in her, and is also looking to get back on the saddle. They have one wild night, but it's not enough to satisfy either of them, so Jack comes up with a plan. A plan that could definitely backfire.

Recipe for Satisfaction was really good. I adored both Sterling and Jack, together and separately. I was especially invested in Sterling's personal plot for some reason. She's a professional organizer, but her own life is a mess thanks to her parents' gambling addiction. She's supporting them for her younger sisters' sake, but she's reached her limit. Sterling is going to bail them out one last time, but things are going to change. Sterling is going to change. She's doing things for herself for once, and that includes her affair with Jack. Of course, their inevitable fight had to be about money, because Jack's rich and has been heartbroken by gold diggers before. At least things didn't feel too over the top when he found out about her money troubles.

In the end, Recipe for Satisfaction was great. I enjoyed watching Sterling come out of her shell, try new things, and finally live life. Her and Jack also have plenty of sexy times as part of her doing things that feel good to her journey. I do just wish that there had been more food. Jack is a chef, and there is one sex scene involving a little bit of food, but there was entirely not enough food overall!

I was a tad disappointed by this book, based on both the sample and the reviews I had expected more. It was rushed and felt somewhat incomplete, there were many important issues which in my opinion should have been opened a lot more. For example when Sterling discovered her parents had taken out credit cards in her name she basically did nothing, even if this eventually was a turning point in her finding both her voice and her backbone. She frankly irritated my quite a bit in the beginning due to the way she let her parents use her and even felt guilty about confronting them. All in all an ok read, not sure though if I'm gonna buy more from the same author.
4.5 stars! I always enjoy the Brazen line reads! They never disappoint! Gina Gordon didn't disappoint and loved this story. It was sexy, fun, frustrating and silly.

I just wanted more from them and to know more about their relationship. I am hoping there will be more with this series!

I've been a pretty active book reviewer for years, but I wanted to make all the above clear before you read my review. Many might say my opinion is swayed because of my affiliation, but I'll leave that up to you to judge.

During my latest binge into contemporary romance, I purchased Recipe for Satisfaction. It was the first book of three (I bought this book, Game for Marriage, and Vanilla on Top). Actually, these books are all the January releases from Entangled's Brazen line. If you follow me on twitter, you know I'm obsessed with these books. The covers are killer and the stories teeter the line between erotica and adult romance. Ugh...I love them.

Recipe for Satisfaction is a contemporary romance with meat. Beyond the steamy romance, Sterling Andrews is dealing with some major family drama. Having known a person who had parents like hers, I could relate to her emotions. It's a tough position to be in as a child and I thought she handled it well. This chick is tough and I absolutely fell in love with her. Unlike many of the weak female characters in contemporary romance, this girl holds her own.

Now that I got that out of the way, I can discuss my favorite part of this book Jack Vaughn! This guy is yummy and a half. First of all, a guy who can cook wins major points with me. Also, the love scenes in this book are like whoa-baby hot. Everything from the positions to the locations. Seriously, where can I pick-up my own Jack Vaughn? He also has a few smexy brothers that make my insides vibrate when I imagine the next books in the series! So, yeah, I'm a fan. ;-p

Bottom line Read this book. It's $2.99 for freaks-sake. It's so worth it!
I liked this book but I didn't love it.
Jack and Sterling might have sizzled in bed, the beach, on a boat... you get my drift but I didn't see/feel any love connection.
It was like an after thought for Jack, I wish we got to see a little more of them actually being a couple. Maybe an epilogue might have helped.
If you are looking for a book with lots of hot sex then you will enjoy Recipe for Satisfaction.
The romance between the H & H was good. Sterling was nothing but a martyr who blamed herself for everything and felt it was her responsibility to fix everything. She doesn't hold others accountable for their actions and does without so others can have better than her. What a weak character. If she had been the way she was with Jack, with her own family, then this would have been a much better read.
This is my first Gina Gordon book and I'm hooked!!! I love the depth of the characters and who doesn't love a man that can cook and gives back by teaching foster kids. Jack and Sterling both have their own personal demons. I love that playboy Jack found a way to help Sterling free her inner self. I loved the HOT sex, the great locations, the motorcycle ride, the awesome chemistry, and the bullhorn. Than there's Jack's just as HOT brothers!! I can't wait for each of their stories. If you love great characters, an awesome story, and HOT sex than you gotta read this book!
